Community Day School is located in the Educational Resource Center building at 400 West Harding St Crescent City. This building also houses the Instructional Media Center (IMC).

Students arrive at CDS through the School Attendance Review Board process, an IEP team recommendation, an expulsion, recommendation of Committee for Alternative Placements (CAP) or the recommendation of their probation officer.
