Elk Creek School is a court school program operated by the Del Norte County Office of Education in the Del Norte County Juvenile Hall. Elk Creek program is based at the county juvenile hall facility. Elk Creek serves incarcerated youth, grades 6-12, and is a full-day program. Elk Creek operates throughout the year. Elk Creek offers a low teacher-student ratio, customized curriculum to scaffold and remediate academic areas of weakness and character education.
