McCarthy Alternative Education Center is a community school program operated by the Del Norte County Office of Education that serves the educational, social and emotional needs of youth who are wards of the court.   McCarthy Center serves between 10-28 middle and high school students in grades 7-12.   The mission of the McCarthy Center is to provide a comprehensive program of education, personal growth and community service.  We want to prepare our students to successfully reintegrate into the comprehensive school system.
